Search queries like "who is the CEO of [company]," "[company] leadership team," or "[company] founder" are navigational—users want a name, title, and link before sales outreach, press, partnerships, or job applications. YC startups are often young; titles change and "CEO" may not be the only decision-maker.

Guide Startups answers these queries with founder sections on company pages and a founder directory—not standalone CEO pages for every possible spelling. This guide shows the reliable lookup order so you do not rely on outdated third-party snippets.

At seed stage, founders are the leadership team. Titles you will see:

• CEO — often the outward-facing founder (fundraising, strategy, hires).
• CTO / technical co-founder — product and engineering leadership.
• COO / President — operations, finance, GTM in some teams.
• Co-founder — equal equity partners; titles may be fluid early on.

"Owner" usually means founder with significant equity—not a separate corporate role. For companies with 2–3 founders, contact the CEO and the relevant functional lead (e.g. CTO for technical partnerships).
